A2P 10DLC Registration for GoHighLevel

US carriers block business SMS sent from unregistered numbers. The message shows as sent, the lead never sees it, and nothing in the dashboard tells you.

A2P 10DLC is the registration system US carriers use to decide whether application to person messaging from a ten digit long code is allowed through. Without a registered brand and campaign, your SMS is filtered before it reaches the handset. GoHighLevel will still show it as delivered to the carrier.

This is the single most common reason a technically correct GoHighLevel build produces no results. The workflows fire, the messages send, and the follow up never lands. Registration is not optional and it is not automatic.

What registration involves

Two separate approvals, in order, plus the caller ID layer on the voice side.

Why submissions get rejected

Rejections are rarely about the business being illegitimate. They are about evidence.

What I do on this

Every one of the nine production systems I have built runs on a registered brand and campaign. That includes accounts where the first submission had already been rejected.

Common questions

Can you fix A2P 10DLC registration rejections?

Yes. Most rejections come down to entity details that do not match public records, or opt in evidence that is not publicly reachable. Both are correctable and resubmittable.

Do I need A2P 10DLC if I only send a few messages?

Yes, if you are sending application to person messages to US numbers from a ten digit long code. Volume does not exempt you.

Does this apply to UK businesses?

A2P 10DLC is a US carrier requirement. It applies when you are messaging US numbers, regardless of where your business is registered.
